At a glance: Memphis won 123–112 in Sacramento on October 25. Ty Jerome scored 31, and the Grizzlies improved to 3–0 despite a fourth-quarter Kings rally.

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 25, 2026 — The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Sacramento Kings 123–112 on Sunday night. Guard Ty Jerome scored 31 points and made all 14 of his free-throw attempts as Memphis preserved its unbeaten opening to the season.

Grizzlies vs. Kings score and the decisive moments

The Grizzlies led 67–59 at halftime after scoring 42 points in the second quarter. Seven Memphis players made at least one three-pointer during that period, spreading Sacramento's defensive attention across the floor instead of relying on one scorer.

Sacramento recovered enough to tie the game 106–106 with 5:41 left in the fourth quarter on a Domantas Sabonis three-point play. Memphis answered with a three-point play from Isaiah Stewart, a basket by Cedric Coward and a Jerome three-pointer. That response transformed a tied contest into an eight-point Memphis lead.

Ty Jerome's 31 points headline Memphis' offense

Jerome's scoring was especially valuable at the free-throw line, where he converted 14 of 14 attempts. His efficient night followed a 45-point performance in the team's season opener, according to the NBA's game recap. Memphis' offensive approach also created opportunities for younger contributors.

Rookie Cameron Boozer finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Cedric Coward supplied 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Jaylen Wells scored 16. Their contributions helped the Grizzlies stay productive even when Sacramento adjusted its defense.

Zach LaVine's 37 points were not enough

Zach LaVine scored 37 points for Sacramento and added five assists. Rookie Darius Acuff Jr. contributed 22 points, while Sabonis had 15 points and 15 rebounds. Those numbers underline that the Kings had multiple productive players even though they could not sustain their fourth-quarter rally.

The Kings were outscored 27–22 in the final period. Memphis also had a 32–19 edge in bench scoring in the official game data, an important margin in an 11-point finish.

Next games and player availability

The Grizzlies are scheduled to visit Utah on Monday, while the Kings travel to San Antonio on Tuesday. Zach Edey missed Sunday's game because of left ankle injury management, and Sacramento's Keegan Murray was sidelined by illness. Check official team reports for subsequent availability rather than assuming those absences will continue.
